Choice Teachers are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of secondary schools in the Rochdale area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain further school experience, work flexibly around other commitments, or secure regular supply work within local schools. Whether you are looking for occasional days or consistent weekly work, we can keep you as busy as you would like to be.
With over 18 years of experience supporting schools across Greater Manchester and Lancashire, we have built strong relationships with local schools and pride ourselves on offering ongoing support to both our candidates and schools. We are particularly keen to speak with Teaching Assistants who have experience working within alternative provisions or with pupils displaying challenging behaviour. Some placements may require strong behaviour management skills, resilience, and high levels of professionalism within specialist settings. Ongoing support will always be provided by the school and our consultants.
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
- Have experience working with children or young people
- Be confident managing behaviour within a classroom or specialist setting
- Be patient, supportive, and professional at all times
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
- Provide two professional references
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Hold a driving licence/access to transport (desirable but not essential)
