Choice Teachers are working with a large network of secondary schools across Peterborough who are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join their teams through our agency.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on classroom experience, develop your confidence working with young people and get a genuine insight into life within a secondary school.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
- Deliver pre prepared lesson work
- Support students with their learning
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environmentBuild strong relationships with students and school staff
- Gain valuable experience across different secondary school settings
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applications from graduates of all backgrounds who are considering a career in education.
Previous experience working with children or young people would be ideal, such as:
- Tutoring
- Sports coaching
- Youth work
- Mentoring
- Volunteering
- Teaching or classroom experience
However, this is not a deal breaker. We are particularly interested in candidates who are confident, enthusiastic, responsible and genuinely interested in working with young people.
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS must be attained
- Strong communication skills
- A professional and reliable approach
- Confidence working with secondary aged pupils
- A genuine interest in developing a career in education
