About the Role
Choice Teachers are working with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across South West London who are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, and reliable Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants to join them on a supply and long-term basis from the next Academic Year, September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference within the classroom. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day work or a longer-term placement, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils in the classroom, either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Work alongside the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons
- Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required
- Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' wellbeing
- Adapt to different school settings and classroom environments
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times
About You
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or educational setting
- A caring, patient, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Professional, reliable, and adaptable
- Passionate about helping children achieve their potential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
