Choice Teachers are currently working with a secondary school in Finsbury who are seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant, PA to Principal, Personal Assistant, or Executive Support Officer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis. This is a senior, fast-paced role providing high-level, confidential, and professional support to the Principal, Senior Leadership Team, Trust, and Governors. The successful Executive Assistant will play a key role within the school, managing complex executive support functions while handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Previous experience working as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant supporting senior leaders is essential. This role is not suitable for candidates whose experience is solely within general administration. The position will commence in September 2026, with the opportunity to attend paid induction or training days beforehand. The assignment will continue until a permanent appointment is made, making this an excellent long-term opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level executive support to the Principal and Senior Leadership Team
- Manage complex and ever-changing diaries, schedules, and priorities
- Coordinate meetings, projects, and leadership activities
- Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and confidential documentation
- Act as the main point of contact for senior leaders, governors, staff, and external stakeholders
- Organise, coordinate, and support Governor and Trust meetings
- Take accurate minutes where required
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion
- Ensure deadlines are met within a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Provide proactive support across a broad range of executive functions
Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have substantial experience working as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, PA, or Executive Support Officer
- Have previous experience supporting senior leaders within a busy organisation
- Have exceptional diary management and organisational skills
- Be able to prioritise competing demands and work under pressure
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate outstanding attention to detail
- Be highly professional and capable of maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and diary management systems
- Be proactive, organised, and able to work independently
