Choice Teachers are currently recruiting for a History Teacher to join a great mainstream secondary school in Lancaster for a long-term maternity cover placement, starting after the October half-term and continuing for the remainder of the academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a secondary school and make a real difference to pupils' learning and progress across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role

The Ideal Candidate
The successful History Teacher will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. ECTs are welcome to apply.
- Have experience teaching History across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire pupils and support strong learning outcomes.
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities.
- Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management.
- Monitor pupil progress and complete planning, marking and assessment as required.
- Be committed to safeguarding, inclusion and promoting pupil wellbeing.
