Contract: Full-time
Salary: £34,069 – £46,940 per annum (Main Pay Scale, depending on experience)

Choice Teachers are currently recruiting for a Year 5 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school based in Hertford starting after the October half-term break.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic primary teacher who is passionate about Upper Key Stage 2 education and eager to help pupils reach their full potential during a key year of their development.
The Role

Teach a Year 5 class across the full Key Stage 2 curriculum.

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging, challenging, and age-appropriate lessons.

Support pupils' academic growth as well as their social and emotional well-being.

Monitor progress, adapt teaching to meet diverse needs, and track pupil attainment.

Maintain a positive, structured, and inspiring classroom environment.

Work collaboratively with the Key Stage 2 team and contribute to the wider life of the school community.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Has experience teaching within KS2, ideally Year 5.

Possesses a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and expectations.

Demonstrates excellent classroom management and high standards for learning.

Is enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to helping every child succeed.

Communicates effectively with colleagues, support staff, and parents.
