Choice Teachers are currently working with a secondary school in Willesden who are seeking an ambitious and inspiring Head of Geography, Lead Geography Teacher, or experienced Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department on a permanent basis from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Geography Teacher looking to step into leadership, however the school are also keen to hear from passionate ECTs and qualified Humanities Teachers with less experience who are interested in a teaching role within the department.

The successful candidate will teach Geography across KS3, KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and support strong academic outcomes.

About the Role:
  • Teach Geography across KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Humanities lessons
  • Lead and support curriculum development within Geography
  • Support student progress and raise attainment across all key stages
  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment opportunities
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students pastorally as a form tutor where required
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Geography or Humanities at secondary level
  • Be confident teaching KS3–KS5 Geography
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be passionate about teaching and learning
  • Have leadership experience or aspirations for progression into middle leadership
  • ECTs and less experienced teachers are encouraged to apply for teaching opportunities within the department
