Choice Teachers are currently working with a successful secondary school in Euston who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Food Technology Teacher looking for a flexible three-day-per-week teaching position within a supportive and well-established Design Technology department.

The successful Food Technology Teacher will deliver engaging practical and theory lessons, helping students develop confidence, creativity, and essential life skills through Food Technology. Applications are welcomed from experienced Food Technology Teachers, Design Technology Teachers, and ambitious ECTs looking to begin or continue their teaching career in an excellent school environment.

About the Role

  • Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver engaging practical and theory-based Food Technology lessons
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Support students studying GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Ensure a safe, organised, and engaging practical learning environment
  • Work collaboratively within the Design Technology department
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Food Technology, Food Preparation and Nutrition, or Design Technology
  • Be confident teaching KS3 and KS4
  • Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be passionate about delivering engaging practical lessons
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills
  • Be committed to raising student achievement
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply
