Location: Dunstable, Bedfordshire
Start Date: After October Half Term
Contract: Full-time
Salary: NJC Support Staff Pay Scale, SCP 5-7 (depending on experience)

Choice Teachers are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Dunstable from after the October half-term break.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive difference to their education and development.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students both in and outside of the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students with their learning across the curriculum.
- Working with individuals and small groups to help students make progress.
- Providing additional support to students who may require extra help with their learning, behaviour or engagement.
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting teachers with classroom activities and resources.
- Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
- Building positive and professional relationships with students and staff.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Is patient, approachable and supportive.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is confident working with students of different abilities and needs.
- Can build positive relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Is reliable, enthusiastic and committed to supporting students.
- Works well as part of a wider school team.
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable, but we would also consider candidates with relevant experience working with young people.
