A well-regarded secondary school in Peterborough is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Drama and Performing Arts Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment where the arts are valued as a key part of the curriculum.
The Role
- You will deliver high-quality Drama and Performing Arts lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience desirable but not essential).
- The successful candidate will inspire students to develop confidence, creativity, and performance skills while supporting academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Drama and Performing Arts lessons.
- Prepare students for assessments, examinations, and performances.
- Create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, including productions and clubs.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in Drama and/or Performing Arts.
- Experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- A genuine passion for the performing arts.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).
