Choice Teachers are currently working with a secondary school in Willesden who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design Technology Teacher, DT Teacher, or Resistant Materials Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a Woodwork Teacher, Product Design Teacher, or Construction Teacher to teach Resistant Materials across KS3 and KS4 within a supportive and high-achieving department. The successful candidate will join a well-established Technology department with excellent facilities and strong leadership support.

About the Role – Design Technology Teacher / Resistant Materials Teacher

  • Teach Design Technology and Resistant Materials across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver engaging lessons in Woodwork, Product Design, and practical DT subjects
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to support all learners
  • Monitor progress and raise attainment within Design Technology
  • Support students’ practical and technical skills development
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and department development
  • Maintain a safe and positive workshop learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Design Technology, Resistant Materials, or Product Design
  • Be confident teaching practical DT lessons including Woodwork
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be passionate about teaching and student achievement
  • Be able to motivate and inspire students across KS3 and KS4
