Choice Teachers are working with a college in Cambridge to recruit a full time Learning Support Mentor to join their dedicated student support team.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to join the college on an agency basis initially, with the potential to move into a permanent position.
The role will involve providing day to day support to students with their learning, confidence and development, helping them to engage positively with college life and achieve their potential.
The Role

Supporting students across the college

Providing one to one and small group learning support

Helping students develop confidence and independence

Supporting engagement, behaviour and day to day routines

Working alongside teaching and support staff

Building positive relationships with students and encouraging their progress
We Are Looking For

Someone with experience working with young people
-
A patient, approachable and supportive personality

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Previous education, SEN, youth work or learning support experience is beneficial

Reliable and committed to a full time role

Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
