As a Housing Officer, you will deliver a high-quality housing management service that supports tenants, strengthens neighbourhoods, and helps sustain thriving communities. In this varied role, you will:

  • Manage tenancies.
  • Address anti-social behaviour.
  • Support residents.
  • Oversee property allocations.
  • Minimise void periods.
  • Work closely with partner agencies to provide excellent outcomes for customers.
  • Build strong relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
  • Resolve complex housing-related issues.
  • Help ensure safe and sustainable housing services.

Essential Criteria

Candidates must meet one of the following qualification and experience routes:

  • CIH Level 4 qualification and 2 years relevant housing management or tenancy management experience with a social landlord or local authority.
  • A degree in any discipline and 2 years relevant housing management or tenancy management experience with a social landlord or local authority.
  • 3 years experience as a Housing Officer or equivalent within the last 5 years.

All applicants must also have:

  • Working knowledge of the rules of the Housing Selection Scheme, including the allocation of properties, assessment of transfer applications, assignments, mutual exchanges, and related processes.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programmes, including Excel and Word.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Access to a vehicle for daily business use.
