We manage over 14,000 homes and support around 40,000 tenants, delivering a wide range of housing solutions including general needs, sheltered housing, support accommodation, and homes for families with complex needs.

Our Housing Apprenticeship will be the first step on your career path to becoming a Housing Officer. A Housing Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of housing services, tenant satisfaction, and organisational compliance. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing various aspects of housing
  • Conducting audits
  • Addressing anti-social behaviour
  • Maintaining positive relationships with local partners
  • Attending meetings on behalf of Choice
  • Promoting tenant involvement
  • Resolving complaints and disputes
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance
  • Coordinating with maintenance teams
  • Enforcing tenancy agreements

Essential criteria:

  • 5 GCSEs (A-C) including Mathematics, ICT and English or Equivalent (BTEC Level 1-2)
  • Experience in Microsoft packages
  • Driving license and access to your own transport (desirable)

If you are successful at interview stage, you will be provisionally offered the role and will commence in September 2026, providing you pass the pre-employment checks including completion of an Access NI, Medical declaration, two references and copies of GCSE certificates. If you are awaiting GCSE results, your offer will be provisional depending on achievement of required results.
