The Senior Maintenance Assistant is a supervisory role responsible for managing and supporting Maintenance Assistants to deliver efficient and effective facilities management services in communal areas. The post-holder will contribute to an improved service, while maintaining a high quality and safe environment for all stakeholders including tenants, staff and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor Maintenance Assistants and Rapid Response staff.
- Host regular team meetings, assist with ongoing management and completion of performance development reviews.
- Assist with training and induction of new staff.
- Coordinate weekly/monthly tasks, monitor workloads, and ensure timely completion.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years’ experience of working in a response maintenance or facilities management environment including a good working knowledge of joinery and general building repairs, electrical, plumbing etc to residential and occupied property.
- Qualification / Certificate in relevant field e.g. Health & Safety, Compliance, or other appropriate training.
