Overview of the role
The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will liaise with seniors in the home, reporting any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and a willingness to learn and expand your knowledge. You will make a positive difference in people\’s lives and enjoy activities such as days out, trips, and more, all aimed at ensuring residents are safe, happy, and fulfilled.
Key duties
- Supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
- Supervising a team and assisting with the management of the home
- Liaising with managers and shift leaders
- Completing tasks professionally, timely, and accurately
- Supervising mealtimes to promote positive attitudes towards food
- Assisting residents with daily activities inside and outside the home
- Using initiative to support residents during activities and daily tasks
