Overview of the role
The Team Leader provides support and guidance to a team of social care workers, ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will liaise with senior staff in the home and report any concerns. You should have experience in the care sector and a willingness to learn and develop your skills. You will make a significant difference in people's lives and enjoy participating in activities, trips, and outings that promote safety, happiness, and fulfilment for those we support.
Key duties
- Supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care setting.
- Supervising a team and assisting with the management of the home.
- Communicating with managers and shift leaders.
- Completing tasks professionally, promptly, and accurately.
- Supervising mealtimes to promote positive attitudes towards food.
- Assisting residents with daily activities both inside and outside the home.
- Using initiative to support residents during activities and daily tasks.
