Overview of the role
The Senior Social Care Worker provides support and guidance to a team of social care workers, ensuring the highest level of care while leading by example. You will liaise with senior staff in the home and report any concerns. You should have experience in the care sector and a willingness to learn and expand your knowledge. You will make a significant difference in people's lives and enjoy activities, outings, and trips, all aimed at ensuring residents are safe, happy, and lead fulfilling lives.
Key duties
- Supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
- Supervising a team and assisting with overall management of the home
- Liaising with managers and shift leaders
- Completing tasks professionally, promptly, and accurately
- Supervising mealtimes to promote positive attitudes towards food and dining
- Assisting residents with daily activities, both in and outside the home
- Using your initiative to support residents during activities and daily tasks
