The role consists of shift work and weekends on a rota basis. Overview of the role
Whether you are new to the industry or have come from a social care background, we welcome your application. We will train and mentor you to become a highly skilled professional. We offer all our in-house training free of charge and set a career path for you from day one. Please note this is a temporary role due to maternity cover.
Key duties
- Providing personal care – including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding
- Medication administration
- Assisting and getting involved in residents' daily activities, hobbies or outings
- Following care plan guidance alongside Company policies and procedures
- Developing an open, honest, and considerate working relationship with residents
- Maintaining written daily records
- Attending and completing training, as required

Where will you work?
Buckfield House has well trained and experienced staff who can support people with autism, dual diagnosis of autism and learning disability with challenging behaviour, and other complex needs. The staff team are friendly, conscientious and very committed to supporting the people in their care to live happy, meaningful lives. Staffing levels are assessed and maintained according to the individual needs of the people we support. Buckfield House is situated on the outskirts of the market town of Leominster with its beautiful priory church. There are supermarkets and specialist shops, a hospital, GP and dental services, sports, leisure and educational facilities as well as a bus terminal and main-line rail station which connects to Shrewsbury, London Paddington and the Midlands.
