Overview of the role
The role of the Domestic Assistant is to undertake a range of cleaning duties to a high standard throughout the home.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home, especially within the kitchen and storage areas.
- Hoovering, washing, polishing etc. in all areas, including the residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas.
- Getting to know the people we support and enabling them to live a safe, happy and fulfilling life through developing open, honest and considerate relationships.
- Creating appropriate, exciting and well-balanced menus for residents.
- Preparing and serving meals for the home to a high standard.
- Ensuring all special dietary needs are followed.
- Familiarising yourself with residents’ allergens.
- Setting a professional example with all working methods, procedures, personal presentation, timekeeping and hygiene.
- Maintaining health and safety at work practices at all times.

Where will you work?
This service is provided by Witham Valley Care, our sister company in Lincoln. This residential service provides 24 hour care for 6 adults with a learning disability and/or autism and challenging behaviours. The home is situated in a fully converted and updated farmhouse. Village Farm has six individual en-suite bedrooms as well as communal space including a lounge, dining room and games room/second lounge. The home has a family feel with the individuals living here encouraged to participate in the day-to-day running of their home.
