Overview of the role
The role of the Domestic Assistant is to undertake a range of cleaning duties to a high standard throughout the home.
Key duties
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home, especially within the kitchen and storage areas
- Ensuring all work surfaces and floor areas are clean and well-managed
- Hoovering, washing, polishing, etc., in all areas, including residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
- Identifying future regular cleaning and maintenance needs
- Identifying future resources and equipment needed for the home
- Operating within all company policies and procedures

- Getting to know the people we support and enabling them to live a safe, happy, and fulfilling life through developing open, honest, and considerate relationships

Where will you work?
Heywood Sumner House is an elegant, detached property located in South Gorley, in the New Forest, with three acres of gardens overlooking farmland. It supports up to 12 male residents with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and complex needs. The home has a lively atmosphere, with organized activities, community interactions, and two vehicles for trips and outings. South Gorley is conveniently situated midway between Fordingbridge and Ringwood, and just 15 minutes from Bournemouth town centre.
