Overview of the role:
The role of the Domestic Assistant is to undertake a range of cleaning duties to a high standard throughout the home.
Key duties:
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home, especially within the kitchen and storage areas
- Ensuring all work surfaces and floor areas are clean and managed
- Hoovering, washing, polishing etc. in all areas, including the residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas
- Identifying future regular cleaning and maintenance needs
- Identifying future resources and equipment needed for the home
- Operating within all Company policies and procedures
- Demonstrating our values
- Getting to know the people we support and enabling them to live a safe, happy and fulfilling life through developing open, honest and considerate relationships

Where will you work?
Fifteen minutes’ walk from Lymington town centre, in the beautiful New Forest, Holly Lodge supports up to eleven men and women of mixed ages, with moderate to severe learning difficulties and autism. Holly Lodge is a large home with plenty of communal areas for leisure and socialising, including a shared lounge and an activities room. All the bedrooms are en‑suite and are currently undergoing some exciting refurbishments. There is also a huge garden; including a smaller, secret garden tucked away within it. Those we support at Holly Lodge are a lively and active group. They get involved in a broad range of tailored, individual activities to support ongoing personal development, as well as group pastimes including self‑organised arts and crafts, and frequent trips around the New Forest and the nearby beaches. Holly Lodge is staffed on a 24‑hour basis and also offers in‑house positive behaviour support to help with emotional and general wellbeing.
