Care Coordinator

Choice Care requires an experienced Care Co‑Ordinator to provide assistance with rota’s, answering phone calls, communicating with staff, clients & other health professionals.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, committed, an excellent communicator, flexible, computer literate and has previous coordinating experience in a domiciliary care setting, including experience of doing staff rota’s for over 1000 hours per week. Experience with Nourish would be an advantage.

You must be a minimum of NVQ 3 qualified and have experience working in adult social care. You must also be a car driver with use of a car in case there is a need to cover a care visit either during office hours or while on call. Additional pay will be given for care visits undertaken during the on call period or outside of your working hours.

Choice Care provides care to clients in the Blackburn with Darwen and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deal with any calls that come through.
  • Cover any immediate sickness of the care staff.
  • Compile weekly rota’s.
  • Work as part of an on‑call rota (usually 4.30pm–8am, twice a week, Monday–Thursday), with additional payment.
  • Operate in a fast‑paced environment and maintain a "can‑do" attitude.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Computer literate and experienced with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience producing rotas of 2000+ hours.
