The role consists of shift work and weekends on a rota basis. Choice Care is offering a number of flexible positions to fit around your needs. We have a range of working patterns to suit you.
Overview Of The Role
The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst making sure you always provide the highest level of care and lead by example. You will also liaise with the Assistant Team Leader(s) in the service reporting any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and have the willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge. Not only will you make a huge difference to people's lives, but you'll be able to enjoy days out, trips away and join in with many more activities, all of which ensures the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.
All Team Leaders at this service must already have or commit to undertaking a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification. There is also a need to take part in the on call response for the service.
Key duties
- Taking the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
- Supervising a team and assisting with the overall management of the service
- Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
- Executing any tasks allocated in a professional, timely and accurate manner
- Supervising and sharing mealtimes with those we care for to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining
- Assisting those we care for in their daily activities whether this be in or away from the service
- Using your initiative when supporting those we care for during their activities and with day-to-day tasks

Where will you work?
This is one of three residential homes provided by Quality Care, our sister company in the East Midlands that supports individuals with high support needs including challenging behaviours. Quality Care is an established specialist care provider with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality support in family‐style settings. Adams House provides residential 24 hour care for 24 adults with a learning disability and/or autism. Although the service is quite large, the people being supported here live in small family groups or in their own individualised apartment settings, according to their needs and abilities. Adams House is located in the market town of Sutton in Ashfield, close to all the local amenities of the town centre and also has good links to the A38 and M1.
