Salary: £12.85 to £13.05 Hour (Salary based on a 48-hour contract. A higher range is offered to applicants with qualifications in health and social care)

Overview Of The Role
The role of the Senior Social Care Worker is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst making sure you always provide the highest level of care and lead by example. You will also liaise with the seniors in the home reporting any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and have the willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge. Not only will you make a huge difference to people’s lives, but you’ll be able to enjoy days out, trips away and join in with many more activities, all of which ensures the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.
Please note, a full, clean UK driving licence is required due to the needs of the service.
Key duties
- Taking the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
- Supervising a team and assisting with the overall management of the home
- Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
- Executing any tasks allocated in a professional, timely and accurate manner
- Supervising and sharing mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining
- Assisting residents in their daily activities whether this be in or away from the home
- Using your initiative when supporting residents during their activities and with day-to-day tasks

Where will you work?
Beech Tree House is a large property in a semi-rural setting, supporting up to eight young men and women, with learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs. The home is located in Holmer Green, a busy village with local amenities and an active community, with easy access to nearby High Wycombe and Amersham. Everyone at Beech Tree has a tailored activity programme, matched to their preferences and capability, such as cooking and baking, and arts and crafts, helping to build self-confidence and independence skills. The home also has a vehicle for local travel and regular educational and recreational trips.
