Hours: 48

Salary: ÂŁ12.85 to ÂŁ12.85 Hour

The role consists of shift work and weekends on a rota basis. Do you need more flexibility? Overview Of The Role

The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst making sure you always provide the highest level of care and lead by example. You will also liaise with the seniors in the home reporting any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and have the willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge. Not only will you make a huge difference to people’s lives, but you’ll be able to enjoy days out, trips away and join in with many more activities, all of which ensures the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.

Key duties

  • Taking the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
  • Supervising a team and assisting with the overall management of the home
  • Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
  • Executing any tasks allocated in a professional, timely and accurate manner
  • Supervising and sharing mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining
  • Assisting residents in their daily activities whether this be in or away from the home
  • Using your initiative when supporting residents during their activities and with day-to-day tasks

Where will you work?

Ballards Ash is a spacious and attractive former farmhouse on the edge of the village of Wootton Bassett, in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, within easy reach of Swindon. The home supports up to 10 young adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs. Outside is a large, safe garden, divided into relaxation and recreation areas. Ballards Ash has a Day Activities Coordinator who develops individually tailored activity programmes based on individual preference and capability.
