As a Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Advisor, you will manage the recruitment process from start to finish, ensuring a positive, inclusive, and fair candidate experience. You will liaise with hiring managers, support new employees through their onboarding journey, and oversee the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Coordinator in your area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, Sourcing & Screening
    • Lead the full recruitment cycle for a range of social care roles, ensuring inclusive and accessible processes.
    • Partner with hiring managers to create accurate job descriptions and design tailored recruitment strategies.
    • Advertise roles across job boards, websites, and social media to attract diverse and qualified talent.
    • Conduct thorough candidate screenings, assessing skills, experience, and cultural fit while ensuring fairness.
    • Provide clear and timely communication to maintain a positive candidate journey.
  • Interview Coordination & Selection
    • Coordinate interviews through Talos, ensuring smooth scheduling for candidates and interviewers.
    • Participate in interviews with hiring managers, offering insight and balanced recommendations.
    • Collect structured feedback to support informed hiring decisions and improve interview quality.
  • Onboarding & Pre-Employment Checks
    • Deliver a welcoming onboarding experience that prepares new colleagues for success.
    • Manage all pre‑employment checks, including references, DBS, and right‑to‑work documentation.
    • Coordinate inductions, mandatory training, and ongoing onboarding activities.
    • Gather feedback from new starters to enhance the onboarding process.
    • Ensure colleague files in Talos are accurately transferred into the HR system (CP) in a timely manner.
  • Training Coordination
    • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to book employees onto required training sessions.
    • Support initial training programmes and assist new colleagues in integrating into the organisation.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
    • Champion inclusive recruitment practices and bias‑free communications.
    • Support initiatives to attract diverse candidates and meet representation goals.
  • Administration & Data Management
    • Maintain accurate, GDPR‑compliant records for all recruitment and onboarding activity.
    • Ensure ATS and HR data is correctly stored, processed, and managed.
    • Produce activity reports and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Regularly review recruitment and onboarding processes to drive improvements.
    • Stay informed about recruitment trends, HR best practice, and compliance developments.
    • Recommend initiatives that strengthen candidate attraction, recruitment effectiveness, and employee retention.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build trusted relationships with hiring managers and leaders to align recruitment activity with organisational needs.
    • Act as the first point of contact for candidates and new employees, delivering responsive support.
    • Collaborate with the wider HR team to ensure seamless handover from recruitment to ongoing HR processes.
