About The Employer
Our client is a federated charity consisting of a central national office and over 170 geographically dispersed local organisations, all working together under the same identity. The organisation recognises that being a parent has never been easy. Every volunteer is trained to work alongside parents to overcome the challenges they are facing. The organisation works with parents to build on their strengths and give them the support that they tell them they need. They offer no judgement – just compassionate, confidential help and expert support. This peer-to-peer support is key to the difference the organisation makes and often their volunteers have lived experience of the challenges their families are facing themselves.
About The Role
The employer is looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager to join their Trusts and Philanthropy team. A highly motivated and results-focused fundraiser, you will play a pivotal role in raising funds for the organisation's work with parents and children across the UK. This role is perfect for someone looking to take their next step in trust and grant fundraising. The organisation has a wide portfolio of grant funders, who support their work with grants and donations of around £2m each year. This income funds brilliant projects right across the organisation's movement, from groups for army families, to volunteer perinatal mental health training, to large-scale initiatives to increase volunteer numbers.
The Trusts and Philanthropy team is central to the delivery and development of great support for families, and for ensuring that the organisation has the capacity it needs to deliver high quality services and support to their network. No two days are the same, and they work closely with colleagues right across the organisation.
The employer is looking for someone who is organised and detail-oriented, with a love of writing and who can build strong relationships with funders and colleagues. As the Trusts and Foundations Manager you will manage key funder relationships, submit compelling applications, develop end-of-grant reports and gather inspiring real-life stories from their network of charities. You will be part of the Trusts & Philanthropy team and be managed by the Head of Trusts and Foundations who is keen to support your development in this role.
The people at the organisation are its most important resource. The employer has been accredited with Investors in People since March 2005, which recognises the commitment they give to developing their staff.
