Lead Campaigner Reference: JAN20260854 Location: Within 5 hours travelling distance of London Contract: Permanent Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week Salary: £39,205.00 – £41,856.00 Per Annum Benefits: Pension Scheme, Life Assurance Scheme, 34 days annual leave (incl. bank holidays) What’s the role about This role will initially lead a new campaign to drive systemic change that generates public and political support for the UK’s most important areas for nature, but may lead other systems change campaigns in future years. In this role, key activities will include: Co-creating and leading long-term system change campaigns on behalf of this charity, working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation. Facilitating the development of shared objectives and effective decision-making through strong key senior internal and external relationships, amongst other pressing priorities. Driving the roll out of systems change campaigns in all four countries of the UK. Recruiting and line managing professional volunteers to provide expert guidance or deliver campaigns. Maintaining technical expertise and analysis of external context relating to the current campaign and challenges facing nature, and up to date best practice in campaigning. Ensuring compliance with legal, Charity Commission, and internal policy on campaigning standards. What the employer needs from you: A passion for nature, to tackle the challenges facing it, and for campaigning! Relevant experience to effectively deliver the responsibilities and tasks of this role, including demonstrable senior-level campaigning experience. Ability not only see the big picture and understand and work to change complex systems affecting nature – but to galvanise others behind a shared commitment to what needs to happen. Ability to direct where, when and how to apply campaigning pressure for maximum impact, and experience of a variety of creative offline and offline campaign approaches. Ability to drive forward work in a complex, large organization and through a four-country operating model, including excellent organisational skills and confidence in navigating multi-disciplinary discussions. Excellent time management skills to focus own time on the highest priorities. Additional Information This is a Permanent Full-Time role for 37.5 hours per week.
