This is a senior role in the Development Office Team of this establishment, with responsibility for supporting the Development Director in the management and running of the Development Office. The role is responsible for line management and day-to-day office management for some members of the Development Team, providing oversight of gift processing, data management, prospect research, regular giving, alumni communications, events, and alumni relations including career support. The Deputy Development Director undertakes face-to-face principal gift fundraising as part of the role and works with the Development Director to support and develop relationships with existing and potential major donors.

The salary range for this role is £60,000 - £73,000. There will be a four-month probationary period. The salary increases annually with the cost of living and will be subject to periodic review, benchmarked against equivalent roles within other education and collegiate roles in Cambridge. The post holder will be eligible for a bonus every year and free lunch on site on working days. They also offer membership of a defined pension contribution scheme, a Healthcare cash plan and free parking. Hybrid working options are at the discretion of the line manager upon successful completion of a four-month probationary period. Although flexible working requests will be considered, this employer is a community and so it is the normal expectation that the staff member's principal place of work will be on site.
