A leading, specialist private client team in central London is seeking a senior Private Client Associate (5+ PQE) with a strong tax-led private wealth practice to join its highly regarded team.
This role is ideally suited to a lawyer whose expertise sits at the intersection of tax, trusts, estates, and succession planning, and who enjoys advising on complex, high-value matters for sophisticated clients.
The RoleThe successful candidate will advise on a broad range of tax-driven private client matters, including:
- UK tax planning for trusts, estates, and high-value succession structures
- Inheritance tax planning and mitigation strategies
- Capital gains tax and income tax issues relating to trusts and estates
- Tax aspects of estate administration and probate, including complex and taxable estates
- Creation, restructuring, and termination of trusts
- Advising UHNW individuals, families, trustees, and family offices on long-term wealth and estate planning
- Working closely with accountants and other professional advisers on technically complex tax issues
The role offers significant autonomy, direct client contact, and the opportunity to work on intellectually rigorous, tax-heavy matters at the highest level of the market.
The CandidateYou will:
- Be a qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in private client work
- Have strong specialist tax experience, particularly in relation to trusts, estates, and probate
- Be comfortable advising on technically complex tax issues and providing strategic, long-term planning advice
- Have excellent technical ability, judgement, and client-handling skills
- CTA qualification is desirable but not essential
