Role summary: Deliver customers’ products to the required premises while ensuring all customers receive exceptional customer service as part of a multi‑drop delivery route. The driver must transport all products safely, treating the freight as if it were their own.
Key responsibilities:
- Represent DX in a professional manner at all times
- Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements at all times
- Conduct all daily checks, report defects immediately, and complete correct paperwork
- Scan all products using DX scanning equipment
- Load all deliveries safely before leaving the depot
- Observe DX procedures and policies at all times
- Manage your routing to ensure premium and timed deliveries are achieved
- Maintain correct equipment and PPE in good order and use them at all times
- Report any delivery or on‑road issues to the traffic office immediately
- Ensure the customer receives their deliveries in excellent condition every time
- Deal with any customer issues politely and effectively
- Carry out collections in line with given instructions and times
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a C1 or above licence with a valid DQC and Tacho card
- Maximum of 6 points on licence and no bans
- Take pride in delivering exceptional customer service
- Ability to build rapport with customers
