We have an exciting opportunity for a live-in carer for a young adult in the Pontefract area of West Yorkshire. This will be alternate weeks 1 on/1 off.
Previous experience of working with people with mental health issues is essential in this role. The Care Collection provides multi award-winning home care to individuals of all ages. Our services include companionship, domestic support, personal care through to more complex care.
The responsibilities of this role are:
- To provide outstanding care and support to our client in their own home
- Provide companionship
- Basic help in the home, shopping and meal preparation (good cooking knowledge required)
- Deliver specialist care based on training received
- Medication administration
Requirement:
- Committed, caring and compassionate with a clear desire to support others
- Enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude
- Experience with mental health support
- Knowledge of diabetes support
- Previous experience of a live-in role essential
- DBS on update service
