Your new team: This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600‑strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future. The Health & Safety (H&S) team at Pernod Ricard is a team of 12 supporting our sites across the UK, focusing on driving a culture of proactive health and safety.
Your unique contribution: As a key member of our Distillation & Maturation Leadership Team, this position will develop and implement a Distillation & Maturation Health and Safety Roadmap to drive improvements in our safety performance and ensure all necessary compliance through the management of a team of Health and Safety professionals.
- Strategic Partnering & Engagement: Being a trusted partner to site leaders, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder to build environments where safety is second nature.
- People Leadership: You’ll lead and support the safety advisors in your region — helping them grow in confidence and develop their skills.
- Cultural Maturity: Breathing life into our health and safety framework — building on the solid foundations already in place.
- Standards & Systems: Supporting high‑hazard risk and COMAH compliance through real conversations and leadership.
- Change Management: Driving proactive engagement in site changes and developments, ensuring health and safety thinking is embedded early.
- Training & Development: Helping our teams move from lagging indicators to learning insights, using data and real‑world experience to guide improvements.
Who you’ll be working with: Internally, you’ll collaborate across functions — connecting with operations, HR, engineering, building management, security and more. Externally, you will collaborate with the Health and Safety Executive, as well as other external regulatory bodies.
Your blend of talent: Bring genuine care for people and a belief that safety is about enabling good work. Have Professional Health and Safety qualifications (i.e. NEBOSH) and have experience in developing and implementing health and safety management systems.
