Your new team: This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600‑strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe. The Bottling Operations team are based across three factories at our Kilmalid Campus in Dumbarton. The site produces over 20 million cases of flagship brands every year such as Beefeater, Glen Livet, Chivas and Ballantine’s, with a focus on quality and safety.
Your unique contribution: The Bottling Team Leader is responsible for the execution of the production plan on a daily basis. You will co‑ordinate Continuous Improvement activity and manage team performance. You will have five main areas of responsibility:
- Team Leadership – to motivate the team to achieve targets and ensure open communication and resolution of conflict.
- Planning and Control – to interpret the production plan and organise the team members to execute this plan.
- Driving 5S – maintain high standards of 5S by ensuring adherence to 5S standards and coaching team members.
- Problem Solving & Improvements – coach your team members to identify non‑conformances and assist them in rectifying problems.
- Meetings – conduct face‑to‑face shift handovers and daily shift meetings.
Who you’ll be working with: Internally, you will collaborate with the wider Manufacturing team, including Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Health & Safety. Externally, you will collaborate with suppliers and vendors.
Your blend of talent: This position could be right for you if you have experience in a similar operational/manufacturing environment, proven experience in managing teams, a proactive approach to Health & Safety, and are experienced in working with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
