About this Role

Chiswick School is a high performing school in West London. We are heavily oversubscribed and remain the first choice school for many parents in Hounslow. We were shortlisted for the TES School of the Year Award (2021 and 2023) and in 2023 won the TES Best Arts Provision category.

We are looking to appoint Examination Invigilators to support our students approximately 12 weeks/year through their examination period. You will be someone who is flexible and available during the day, with an interest in education and willingness to support young people through what can be a stressful time. This would suit a retired professional, a parent with children in other schools or a graduate taking some time out.

We are looking for colleagues who:

  • have a calm approach to problem solving
  • have a good standard of written English and Numeracy
  • are good communicators
  • have flexible availability to work
  • like and emphasise with young people
  • understand that confidentiality and punctuality are key requirements.

The attached job description will give more details about what we are looking for but please feel free to contact us if you want to discuss this further. (Alice Young Examination Officer - [email protected] or Andrea Ramsay - Dir of HR [email protected]).

Closing Date: Friday 30th October 2026 but interviews will be held throughout this application process so if you are interested.

This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Internet Search Check check and all other statutory pre-employment checks and appointments are subject to the receipt of satisfactory references. Chiswick School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
