We are seeking an Estates & Facilities Manager to lead the safe, compliant and efficient management of Chiswick House & Gardens’ built and natural assets. This role has operational responsibility for estates and facilities across the site, overseeing compliance, security, maintenance, contractor performance and operational planning. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will help ensure the estate supports the gardens, events programme and visitor experience to a consistently high standard.
The successful candidate will be proactive, organised and practical, with experience managing estates, facilities or operational environments. You will be comfortable balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day operational management, leading contractors and staff, managing budgets and ensuring the estate remains safe, welcoming and well maintained.

- Knowledge of compliance, health and safety, risk management and fire safety procedures.
- Experience managing contractors, suppliers and service contracts.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Experience managing budgets, procurement and operational records.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to lead and support staff, volunteers and operational teams.
- Practical understanding of site maintenance and estate operations.
- Ability to work flexibly and respond to operational priorities in a busy historic estate environment.
