About You & The Role

The AWS & IT Systems Administrator is responsible for managing the organization’s AWS infrastructure by performing planning, building, and support services. It also entails supporting end-user computing technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and other related devices and services.

  • Plan, build, and run AWS infrastructure and collaborate with AWS support.
  • Build, maintain, and deploy workstation images for all hardware actively deployed.
  • Maintain security and protection for all end-user computing devices via anti-virus software, application/OS configuration, application & OS patching, and other related methods.
  • Evaluate and identify end-user technology solutions, including laptops, desktops, and related hardware/software.
  • Manage Active Directory as it relates to users, groups, and computers.
  • Manage M365 services (Exchange, Endpoint Manager, OneDrive, etc.).
  • Maintain building audio/visual equipment, including projectors, PA, sound masking, and video display systems.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation for - Network & system diagrams, Work processes, Hardware/software inventory, System configurations.
  • Track IT incidents and requests using the company’s ticketing applications/systems.
  • Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of IT-related standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor the reliability of end-user computers, software, and other corporate technology.
  • Proactively diagnose and repair problems with end-user computers, software, and other corporate technology.
  • Track and manage software licenses.
  • Work with vendors to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Work with other teams to help advance initiatives and resolve emerging problems on various projects.
  • Follow general IT standards for making changes in all environments. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting a production readiness review; following change control processes; participating in a security review; and communicating with stakeholders and affected users.

Skills

  • 2-5 years of AWS support and be able to demonstrate your knowledge of EC2, ECS, S3, ALB, Terraform, RDS, and Backups.
  • 2–5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration (a startup or fast-paced environment a plus).
  • Windows 10, macOS, iOS, Desktop, Hardware, PC imaging, Windows 10, Imaging, Active Directory, Help Desk Management.
  • Familiarity with SaaS tools (Google Workspace, Okta, Zoom, Slack, etc.).
  • Experience managing endpoints via MDM tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune, Kandji).
  • Previous desktop/laptop or IT field service experience required.
  • Technical Proficiencies: PC imaging, PC hardware break/fix, Mobile device support (iOS & Android), Active Directory, O365/M365 administration, Mobile Device Management, Helpdesk/service desk ticketing software (Jira).
  • Bonus: Experience with scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell), automation tools, or basic networking.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational & decision-making skills.
  • Able to work successfully as part of a team.
