We are looking to establish and grow a new finance brand to become a key partner for many of the world’s top hedge funds and investment banks. We already have clients in this space, and so there is a huge opportunity to overlap with our current markets and build a strong presence.

As a highly motivated recruitment Director, you will join our dynamic team and specialise in financial markets focusing on hedge funds and investment banking. We are looking for an experienced recruiter with either search or contingency experience to deliver high calibre searches for clients in the financial world. You will play a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and placing top talent within the sector.

We realise this requires dedication as well as skill, and you will therefore have the full support of our other directors and the wider business to achieve these goals. Progression and ambition are unrestricted, and we therefore would love for someone to have the entrepreneurial spirit to establish the brand and then begin to grow their own team.

Key Accountabilities
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the financial markets, understanding their unique hiring needs and providing strategic recruitment solutions.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various sourcing methods, including database searches, job boards, networking, and referrals, to identify and attract top-tier finance professionals.
  • Candidate Assessment: Conduct in-depth interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates’ qualifications, skills, and cultural fit with clients.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends and market developments, allowing you to provide expert advice to both clients and candidates.
  • Negotiation: Facilitate offers and negotiations between clients and candidates, ensuring a smooth and mutually beneficial hiring process.
  • Performance Metrics: Consistently meet and exceed performance metrics and targets, contributing to the overall success of the team and company.
Required experience

To be considered, you will:

  • Have at least an undergraduate degree
  • Proven experience as a recruitment consultant or in a similar role within the financial markets
  • Strong understanding of the financial industry, including knowledge of roles such as traders, analysts, portfolio managers, and compliance professionals.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Additional languages are a plus
  • Self‑motivated and results‑oriented with a demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Adept at using recruitment tools and technologies
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Be comfortable with sourcing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels including senior stakeholders
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced and demanding environment
