Chisholm Bookmakers is a family run business established in the 1950s, with 32 betting shops located throughout the North East of England and Cumbria. The success of the company, and also that of its employees depends largely on the employees themselves, and so great emphasis is placed on training and development within the company.
We are looking for a Betting Office Trainee Assistant Manager who will be required to work a minimum of 20 hours per week in our betting shops based in the Bedlington Area. Applicants should be well motivated, be prepared to work flexibly and willing to make a positive contribution as part of the management team.
As a pro-active Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of the shop and marketing our products and services to the highest possible standards. You will also be responsible for the supervision of the staff when managing, thereby ensuring the smooth running of the office. You should also be keen to learn new skills and be committed to providing the very best customer service.
The company is committed to operating its business in a socially responsible manner. A key requirement of the role is to ensure compliance with the following:
- Underage gambling / Think 25
- Responsible gambling and Self-exclusion guidelines
Full training is given through our training programme. We open at 9:00 am daily, and all offices take advantage of evening and Sunday racing. To cover our opening hours, we operate a flexible shift system.
Our starting rate of pay is £12.96 per hour rising to £13.16 after training. Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
