Job Description
Chisholm Bookmakers is a family run business established in the 1950s with 32 betting shops located throughout the North East of England and Cumbria.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Security Assistant to join our EPo S Support Team based at our Company Head Office in Ashington.
Within this role you will be assisting the team with business compliance initiatives and the prevention of fraudulent activities through analysis of security information, security processes and customer activity.
An interest in sport or some knowledge of betting practices would be an asset however full training will be given.
Main duties and responsibilities: Assist with internal auditing of shop accounts.
Investigate suspicious alerts both internal and external.
Investigate information/reports by feed providers to ensure back-office and retail compliance.
To monitor cash control, ensuring that staff are working in accordance with the required procedures.
Monitoring of CCTV.
Respond to queries and referrals from betting office staff, staff from other departments within the company and external customers.
Support compliance initiatives to ensure regulatory requirements are adhered to.
Requirements: A high level of attention to detail.
Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Data entry and document management.
Preparing reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation as required.
The ability to work to tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong customer service skills.
Working Pattern Part-time, minimum of 25 hours per week over 5 days.
The EPo S Support Team work on a shift system which will include working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
