Chirrup.ai is seeking a business development executive to help scale our fast-growing nature monitoring and insights-focused platform. We’re in year 4 of rising demand — with recognition including awards from WWF, Edie and BusinessGreen as well as a nomination for the Earthshot Prize. We have annual recurring revenue contracts with several blue-chip agri-food companies, providing customers with more and better insights, driving further business.
In addition, we’re building strong sectoral routes to market in:
- Dairy farming
- Poultry, beef, lamb & pork production
- Arable farming
- Estate-based wildlife monitoring
- Built environment
We’re now in conversation with experienced sales professionals and fractional commercial execs who are passionate about closing high-value deals in emerging climate-tech and nature-tech sectors. As a founder with a good public profile and active networks, I will work directly with the successful candidate, providing warm leads, credibility, and support through to closure. You’ll be joining a friendly, mission-driven team, with supportive investors, and a thoroughly market-tested technology stack.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience selling into food corporations, agribusiness, or landowners
- Ability to navigate investor-led initiatives that influence supply chain sustainability and reporting
- Someone who can read sales signals from strategy chat, and close big deals which will help to define our commercial strategy
- Comfortable operating in a startup environment with flexibility, autonomy, and some ambiguity
- Based in the UK (Europe to be discussed)
Compensation:
We’re open to negotiating a day rate or fractional salary, plus a success-based component. For the right person — subject to a probationary period and results — equity options may be available.
If you or someone in your network could be a fit and are excited to help businesses thrive with nature, please drop us an email with the highlights of your relevant experience, link to your LinkedIn profile, and if there's a match, someone from the team will be in touch.
