An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior RF Engineer to join our UK based customer. You will work on multiple high tech projects delivering RF and Microwave solutions into the space and military sectors. You will be part of intimate project teams and will assist in developing and testing the next generation active and passive RF products.
Responsibilities
- Support the RF Engineering team in problem solving and solution evaluation
- Design and development of innovative reliable solutions
- Test, measurement, debug and verification
- Simulation and analysis
- Presentation of technical issues at design reviews
- Preparation of design and test documentation
- Technical assistance to production
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, Project Engineers and Engineering team leaders
- Ensure technical projects deliverables are completed on-time, within given requirements and required quality
- Participate in proposal activities
- Willingness to occasionally travel UK/Europe for training and Project Meetings
Qualifications/Experience
- It is essential that you hold a degree within a field that has covered Radio Frequency or Microwave Technology
- You must have considerable and extensive experience in RF circuit design
- You will have a solid knowledge of active and passive RF components such as RF power amplifiers, modulators, filters, and couplers
- You will have strong experience and knowledge of subsystem design including receivers, transceivers, and upconverters
- You will have a sound knowledge of a range of tools used within this sector such as microwave circuit simulator such as NI AWR, and 3D EM Simulation Software such as CST or HFSS
- You will have previous experience within the space or defence arena
- Knowledge of design to cost, and design to manufacture would be advantageous
- Digital design experience or knowledge of FPGA development is desirable, but not essential
