We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Foreman in our Sheffield depot.
Job Purpose: Managing the workshop team to ensure equipment is safe, suitable and ready for hire to suit customer requirements.
Key skills & Duties:
- Support Engineers and customers with any technical issues
- Liaise with storeperson for parts requirements
- Manages team and ensures workload planned efficiently
- Consulting with manufacturers regarding specific repairs and warranty issues
- Monitoring all off-hired equipment ensuring all repairs and damages are recorded correctly
- Proactively getting machines ready for hire
- Allocating work to workshop team
- Supporting office administration with workshop administrative duties
- Ensuring all Health and safety and quality policies are adhered to and making sure workshop compliance
- Actively mentoring and training staff
- Supporting the depot manager with transport operations
- Assisting the depot manager in managing depot/workshop costs
- Carry out stock takes on materials to ensure accuracy of the counts
- Organizing returns, repairs and management of stock in the yard
