Based at our Leeds Depot, the role involves managing the workshop team to ensure equipment is safe, suitable and ready for hire to suit customer requirements.
Key skills & Duties
- Support Engineers and customers with any technical issues
- Liaise with stores for parts requirements
- Manage team and ensure workload is planned efficiently
- Consult with manufacturers regarding specific repairs and warranty issues
- Monitor all off-hired equipment ensuring all repairs and damages are recorded correctly
- Proactively get machines ready for hire
- Allocate work to workshop team
- Support office administration with workshop administrative duties
- Ensure all Health and Safety and quality policies are adhered to and make sure workshop compliance
- Actively mentor and train staff
- Support the depot manager with transport operations
- Assist the depot manager in managing depot/workshop costs
- Carry out stock takes on materials to ensure accuracy of the counts
- Organise returns, repairs and management of stock in the yard

- LOLER and PUWER inspections and regulations

- IOSH Managing Safely
- Driving license
- Strong mechanical and technical knowledge
