Chippindale Plant, as part of the AER Group, is one of the largest privately owned plant hire and sales group of companies in the UK.
The company was established in 1949 and operates out of 8 depots in the North of England, providing a complete hire and sales service for a wide range of Construction Plant, Tools, Excavator Attachments and Secure Site Accommodation.
This role operates from the depot at York. Our trade is predominantly B2B with companies ranging from sole traders to national civil engineers, but we also deal with consumers.
We are looking for an experienced hire controller ideally from a tool, plant, access, or any other equipment hire background.
The job role involves;
Dealing with customers
Answering the phone and responding to emails/messages
Negotiating with customers over Rates, deposits, transport, damages & disputes.
Helping, giving advice, solving problems, and building relationships
Processing orders on our computer system and general administration, including Hire Contracts, Transport notes, damage charges, and workshop job sheets.
Monitoring stock levels and organising equipment transfers from other depots.
Organising deliveries and collections into driver schedules/runs
The ideal candidate will;
Have a proven track record of providing great customer service, ideally within the hire industry
The enthusiasm to learn about our business and range of equipment we supply.
The ability to multi-task, working quickly and accurately under pressure
A good level of numeracy, literacy, and IT skill
The package will include;
Excellent salary, negotiable based on experience.
