Role Description
The Academy Lead Coach will oversee the development and delivery of coaching programs for academy players. Responsibilities include planning and conducting training sessions, monitoring player progress, and working collaboratively with coaching staff to nurture talent and align with the clubโs philosophy. Additionally, the role requires organising matchday preparations and providing constructive feedback to players. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Chippenham.
Qualifications
- Coaching and player development expertise, with knowledge of talent identification and nurturing
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaborative skills to work effectively with players, staff, and stakeholders
- Organisational skills to manage training schedules, match preparations, and administrative responsibilities
- Experience in youth coaching with relevant qualifications, such as an FA Level 2 or higher coaching certification
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and professional environment within the academy
- Basic first aid certification and safeguarding training are advantageous
- Passion for football, with knowledge of the game and a commitment to developing players
