THE OPPORTUNITY. As the Supply Chain Coordinator, you will focus on supporting the logistics, planning and procurement functions. You will explore a broad range of strategic initiatives to improve the way food moves through our Supply Chain and into our restaurants. You will continually seek to improve the level of service to restaurants and be a significant force in advancing Food With Integrity and other company initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Support the Supply Chain team to execute on the end to end Supply Chain.
- Drive best practices and protocols across the entire network, and develop ongoing process improvements in partnerships with suppliers.
- Manage requests from the field and monitor the supply chain email address to ensure all restaurants receive the necessary response and support.
- Support supply chain to manage 3rd party logistics/transportation providers.
- Collect, report on and manage the Inbound Logistics Key Performance Indicators (on-time deliveries, accessorial charges, carrier tender acceptance rate).
- Identify and correct issues related to inbound logistics where necessary.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure that food safety, quality, and traceability standards are maintained throughout the supply chain.
- Provide analytics that support the strategy for the movement and allocation of supply.
- Analyze historical data to forecast customer demand.
- Support production planning and resource allocation.
- Ensure that inventory levels meet demand efficiently.
- Ensure we have materials needed based on production plans and sales forecasts.
- Support cross functional partners to ensure inventory levels meet ongoing demand.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required.
- 1-3 years of experience in managing purchasing/supply chain responsibilities for multi-unit restaurant companies.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of food including raw material sourcing and manufacturing, Quality Assurance and HACCP Systems, and supply chain performance systems.
- Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Skills in teamwork and team building, negotiation, project management, and budgeting and forecasting.
- Knowledge of and the ability to use a PC as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
