THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll play a key role within the Sales and Supply Chain Finance team, partnering cross-functionally with Digital, Marketing, and Supply Chain leadership to translate data into insights that drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. This role plays a critical part in planning, forecasting, and performance management across multiple areas of the P&L, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights. You will develop and leverage financial models, reporting, and analytics to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and optimize outcomes at both the restaurant and enterprise level. Through regular interaction with cross-functional partners, you’ll influence strategic decision-making while helping leaders understand the financial impact of their choices. This position offers strong visibility, with opportunities to present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and contribute to annual planning and long-term strategy, while also strengthening financial acumen across the organization by guiding non-finance partners on core concepts and performance drivers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead annual planning, budgeting, and quarterly forecasting for assigned areas of Chipotle’s P&L.
- Create and maintain robust reporting and data visualizations to communicate complex business performance and support execution of Chipotle’s strategic plan.
- Partner with and influence Digital, Marketing, and Supply Chain leadership to drive strategic financial decisions that enhance the economic model and support company objectives.
- Perform ad hoc promotional and operational analyses in support of Digital, Marketing, and Supply Chain initiatives.
- Ability to effectively leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to improve financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making.
- Monitor variances to plan and forecast throughout the year, forecasting results, and presenting findings to appropriate parties.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for increased profitability or efficiency, presenting recommendations to leadership.
- Build and refine financial models, diagnostic tools, and analytical frameworks to identify trends, interpret results, and optimize performance at both the restaurant and corporate level.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and across all levels of the organization to assess financial information needs and deliver relevant reporting, analyses, and tools.
- Synthesize and present analyses, project outcomes, and recommendations to audiences ranging from peers to senior leadership.
- Educate and guide non-finance partners on financial concepts, policies, and business drivers to strengthen overall financial acumen.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or an equivalent of education and experience required, preferably in multi-unit retail or restaurant environments.
- CFA/CPA designation preferred.
- Experience with financial systems and tools, including Oracle Cloud EPM (SmartView), SQL, and data visualization platforms such as Power BI.
- Demonstrates ability to leverage AI-enabled tools to streamline financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and business insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of the broader MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to extract and interpret complex data, perform ROI, profitability, and variance analyses, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Working knowledge of planning, budgeting, forecasting, and general accounting principles, including accruals and expense management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, and respond effectively to changing business needs.
- High level of ownership and accountability, with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset when navigating challenges.
- Strong judgment and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential financial information.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $99,000.00–$138,000.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
