We’re looking for a Strategy Associate - New Bets to help us validate and deliver high-impact commercial initiatives. This is a rare seat: you’ll work directly with our VP of Commercial, CEO, and VP of Product, taking ideas from a blank page through to ExCo decision. You’ll own the business case and the numbers behind it, and stay close enough to execution to see your work become real.
The ideal candidate is a future founder or operator: a self-starter who works well without close oversight, learns fast, and is as comfortable building a financial model as defending it in front of the executive team.
What you can expect to be doing:
- Build the business case end to end.
- Develop strategies and plans for new product lines expansion, aligned to Chip’s short- and long-term objectives.
- Pressure-test with evidence. Validate theses against market sizing, competitor benchmarking, and customer data.
- Carefully consider how we deliver on medium and long term business strategies, including partnership, build, or acquisition.
- Take recommendations to ExCo and key stakeholders, and make the case sharply enough to get a yes or a clean no.
- Collaborate with teams across Chip including product & tech, finance, legal, risk & compliance, operations, and corporate functions.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years in consulting, banking, or a high-growth company in a commercial, product, or strategy roles, ideally with exposure to regulated financial services.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and genuine comfort driving things on your own and learning fast.
- Good judgement with AI tools, using them to compress analysis and production cycles (modelling, decks, research), not just to generate output.
- Clear, persuasive communication, on the page and in the room.
- Fast learner and self-starter: Comfortable working alone.
- Degree educated (2:1 or above).
What we’re really looking for:
We’re looking for someone who’s genuinely excited about Chip and energised by the opportunity to help build the future of wealth, making saving, investing and pensions simpler and more accessible for everyone. We work in a regulated space, so the bar is high. But we’ve built a team of smart, thoughtful people who care about doing great work and enjoy doing it together. Technical skills matter, obviously. But they’re not the only thing we hire for. We want real people. People with interests, perspective and personality. The best teams are made up of individuals who bring different experiences into the room, not just polished CVs and good interview answers. So alongside the technical side, we’ll be looking for empathy, self-awareness, sound judgement, resilience and a collaborative mindset. People who are good to work with, especially when things get hard.

- Private medical insurance (medical history disregarded).

- Flexible working arrangements.
- 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus the days between Christmas and New Year.
- Annual training budget for courses, workshops, or conferences to help you advance your career.
- £30 per month Chip Fitness Benefit to suit your Mental/Physical Wellbeing.
- Company laptop.
- Opportunity to have a huge impact on our product while fast-tracking your knowledge, responsibility and skills in a high-growth fintech startup.

- Video interview with the hiring manager and Strategy Lead with live Case interview.
